About this service

Overview

  • Official eTA, applied online
  • About 3 working days
  • Expedited option available
  • Yellow fever guidance for your return

Indian passport holders need an approved Electronic Travel Authorisation (eTA) before travelling to Kenya. Every traveller, including children, needs their own eTA. We file your application on the official portal and help you prepare for the safari — including the yellow fever rules for your return to India.

Visa options

  • eTA – normal processing — usually about 3 working days
  • eTA – expedited processing — faster, for urgent trips
  • The eTA is valid for travel within 90 days of issue; your length of stay is decided by the officer at entry.

Who can apply

  • Passport valid for at least 6 months, with one blank page
  • One application per traveller, including children
  • Applied before departure

Documents required

  • Passport valid for 6+ months
  • Selfie or passport-type photo
  • Email and phone number
  • Flight itinerary (arrival and departure)
  • Accommodation or safari booking confirmations
  • Invitation letter, if visiting someone

Good to know

  • Yellow fever: India lists Kenya as a yellow fever risk country. When you return to India, you must show a valid yellow fever vaccination certificate, or you may be quarantined for up to 6 days. Get vaccinated at least 10 days before your trip.
  • Apply only on the official site or app (etakenya.go.ke) — travellers without an eTA can be denied boarding.
  • Passengers transiting airside without leaving the airport do not need an eTA.

Rules last checked in October 2026. Visa and entry rules can change at short notice — our team confirms the latest requirements for your passport and travel dates before we apply.
