Wayanad Tour Packages
Wayanad, in the hills of north Kerala, is known for misty viewpoints, tea and coffee estates, waterfalls, wildlife and some of Kerala’s oldest history. As a travel agency based in Mananthavady, we plan Wayanad trips with stays, transfers and sightseeing — for families, couples, friends and groups.
Places we include in Wayanad trips
- Edakkal Caves — a short hill climb near Ambalavayal to caves with ancient rock engravings.
- Banasura Sagar Dam — one of the largest earth dams in India, with views of islands and the Banasura hills; boating when open.
- Chembra Peak — Wayanad’s highest peak, known for the heart-shaped lake on the trail (treks need forest department permission and are sometimes closed).
- Pookode Lake — a freshwater lake near Vythiri surrounded by forest, with pedal boating.
- Kuruva Island — river islands on the Kabini near Mananthavady, reached by raft; open in season.
- Thirunelli Temple — an ancient temple in the Brahmagiri hills near Mananthavady.
- Tholpetty Wildlife Sanctuary — part of the Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary, with jeep safaris through the forest.
- Soochipara Falls — a waterfall near Meppadi set in forest and tea country.
- Lakkidi viewpoint — at the top of the Thamarassery ghat road with its hairpin bends.
Entry timings and access to forests, treks, islands and dams are set by the authorities and can change with the season or weather. We check what is open before your trip.
Sample plan
A popular trip is 2 to 3 nights: one day in the south (Edakkal Caves, Soochipara Falls, Banasura Sagar), one day around Mananthavady (Kuruva Island, Tholpetty, Thirunelli), with time for Pookode Lake and a plantation walk. See our Wayanad Weekend Getaway package for a day-by-day plan, or ask us to tailor one.
What we arrange
- Resorts, homestays and hotels for your budget
- Pick-up from Kozhikode (Calicut) or Kannur airports, or from your town
- A car with driver for sightseeing
- A day-by-day plan matched to the season and what is open
Best time to visit Wayanad
October to May is the most comfortable time for sightseeing. The monsoon (roughly June to September) makes Wayanad green and beautiful, but heavy rain can close treks, islands and some viewpoints.
