Indian passport holders need a visa to visit Kuwait. Kuwait updated its visit visa rules in 2025, and applications are now made online on the official Kuwait Visa platform. Eligibility depends on your situation, so we start with a quick check and then handle the application for you.
Visa options
- Tourist visa — mainly for residents of GCC countries and travellers holding valid US, UK or EU visas.
- Family visit visa — for relatives of a person living in Kuwait, sponsored by that resident.
- Business visit visa — with an invitation from a Kuwaiti company.
Who can apply
- Passport valid for at least 6 months
- A qualifying visa / residence permit (tourist route) or a sponsor in Kuwait (family or business route)
- Return ticket and accommodation or host details

Good to know
- Indians living in other GCC countries with a residence permit valid for at least 6 months can get a visa on arrival.
- A visit visa cannot be converted into a residence visa.
- Overstaying is penalised — always leave before your visa expires.
