Indian pilgrims usually travel for Umrah on an Umrah visa arranged through an authorised Umrah agent as part of a package with accommodation and transport. We guide you through the visa, the mandatory vaccination and the Nusuk permits so your journey is calm and well-planned.

Visa options

  • Umrah visa — single entry, stay of up to 3 months. You must enter Saudi Arabia within 30 days of the visa being issued, or the visa is cancelled automatically.
  • Tourist eVisa — travellers who qualify for the Saudi tourist eVisa can also perform Umrah outside the Hajj season.

  • Passport valid for at least 6 months
  • Booked as an Umrah package with accommodation and transport
  • Meningococcal ACWY vaccination certificate
  • Travel within the Umrah season dates
  • Confirmed return ticket

Good to know

  • Vaccination: the Meningococcal ACWY vaccine must be taken at least 10 days before arrival.
  • Umrah and the Rawdah visit need a permit booked on the Nusuk app.
  • Umrah season 1448 AH (as announced): last visa issue 9 March 2027, last entry 23 March 2027, final departure 7 April 2027.
  • Umrah is not permitted during the Hajj period.
