The same destination can feel completely different depending on the month. Kashmir in January is a snowfield; in May it is green meadows. Goa in July is quiet and rainy; in December it is packed. Here is our month-by-month guide to the most popular domestic tour packages we plan for travellers from Kerala and Wayanad.
Kashmir — snow or meadows?
- March to June: Spring and early summer. Tulips in Srinagar in spring, green meadows in Gulmarg and Pahalgam, comfortable weather. The most popular time for families.
- December to February: Snow season. Best if you want snow and skiing in Gulmarg — pack serious winter clothing.
- Things to know: Weather and road conditions can change quickly in the mountains. Keep a buffer day.
See our Kashmir tour package.
Himachal — Shimla and Manali
- March to June: Pleasant days, a popular escape from Kerala’s summer heat.
- December to February: Snow in and around Manali, colder and with possible road closures.
- Monsoon (July–August): Landslides can affect roads. We usually advise against this period.
See our Himachal tour package.
Goa — beaches and nightlife
- November to February: Peak season — dry, sunny, beaches and shacks open. Book early around Christmas and New Year.
- March to May: Hotter, but quieter and better value.
- June to September: Monsoon. Green and peaceful, but many beach shacks close and the sea is rough.
See our Goa tour package.
Rajasthan — forts and deserts
- October to March: The best time. Days are comfortable for sightseeing in Jaipur, Jodhpur and Udaipur; desert nights are cold.
- April to June: Very hot. Not recommended for sightseeing-heavy trips, especially with children or elders.
See our Rajasthan tour package.
Andaman Islands
- October to May: Calm seas, clear water for snorkelling and island hopping.
- Monsoon: Rough seas can cancel ferries and water activities.
- Things to know: Ferries between islands are limited, so book well in advance in peak season.
See our Andaman tour package.

- Avoid long weekends if your dates are flexible.
- Travel in shoulder season — just before or after peak months.
